This is deep... 5th Column

So I check on Black Scale's blog and find this... It was a good read, very deep. I thought I'd share because some of you of this generation need some schooling...

“If a man empties his purse into his head, no man can take it away from him. An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.”

- Free Mason

No introduction needed. The 5th Column recalls a séance with Mega of the mighty Black Scale:

These are my opinions and everything stated here are not facts by any means.

I. Balance = We are born and it takes two to raise a child. That’s why it takes two to make one. They work together and find ways to balance this child’s life so the child has a strong upbringing. For this child to succeed and be happy.

II. War = The child grows up and becomes independent, from this he or she finds obstacles that makes life not so easy. They learn own their own and teach themselves about survival.

III. Peace = The gratification of working hard and finding ways to step out of reality. We are our own worst enemy and sometimes we just want to step out of bounds and free ourselves from all the crazy shit that goes on in this lifetime. We find peace with ourselves and sometimes it’s up to us to find it.

IV. Love = Love is not only for the opposite sex. It’s also for the things we simply cherish and enjoy.

V. Hate = HATE. It’s everywhere. It’s what makes the world go round. Without hate life would be boring and there would not be anything to fix. It’s a everyday obstacle we face and we have to accept it. Hate causes harm and it may even lead to death.

The five concepts all lead to balance and without balance life wouldn’t be as great as it is. We all go through these concepts on a daily with ourselves and we find ourselves ruling each concept, if we couldn’t rule each concept than life would be more difficult then it is. Pain is inevitable, Suffering is optional.

Thanks to the 5th Column. Interview on TheSaturnalia and JC himself coming soon.

Putting a new twist on the Star Wars theme, award-winning French photographer Cedric Delsaux displays the many popular Star Wars characters in urban settings and areas. While the characters may look real, they are actually model toys superimposed on to the shots of Parisian architecture to create the illusion of realism.

SF!!

I've been in the bay area for a while and decided to finally post to keep y'all posted about what's up.

So of course we had to hit Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39. Got some clam chowder and a chicken salad sandwich then cruised around the pier and took some shots.

You already know we had to hit up the crazy hats shop..

Fuckin' segway army!!

Anyways, after hanging at the bay for a few hours the rents took me and my brother shopping. Inner city SF is the best.

While we were driving around and a couple shots of the city I notice a dude say "Dawg just get me two tickets!" I look up to find that Nas was playing tonight! Sucks that I didn't go, I had the chance to go with my cousin but we didn't think of it.

Later on I got some good shopping done. H&M is da beessss. Shame I didn't have enough cash to get some CDG shit. SF got some fine breezys too yadadada?! Anyways it's the holidays everyone appreciate and spend time with your family!

So there goes my first post (not counting the intro). I'll have some art, fashion, and music comin' to y'all soon! Happy Holidays and M.O.B fam!!

Music: KANYE WEST

Kanye West is a ten-time Grammy Award-winning rapper, producer, and singer.

Honestly, and I say this without any hesitation, Kanye West is the greatest performer of our generation.

I remember when I first got The College Dropout after school one day in 2004, I had no idea who he was. All I remember was his Michael Jackson line in "Slow Jamz," so when I saw his album in the Target store, I had $15 left on the giftcard, I gave it a shot. Who would've thought that the same dude would be one of the world's biggest names? Since The College Dropout, I've followed his shit even 'til now, Kanye West is just straight-up amazing to me. Like, no homo, he's probably the greatest influence and inspiration for my own upcoming music (be on the lookout for that ;) haha).

808s & Heartbreak, his fourth solo album, just came out this past Tuesday. I really thought he became wack when I heard him perform "Love Lockdown" at the '08 VMA's (I still don't like the track), so I had low expectations, but this album truly blew me away. Listening to all his songs, you can tell it's straight from the heart, and just the passion in his music is what makes it so amazing.

Favorite tracks on the album:
  • Paranoid (feat. Mr. Hudson)
  • RoboCop
  • Streetlights
  • Coldest Winter

Go cop that.
